Next month, Galaxy Counseling Center will hold its 16th Annual Family Matters Conference, and the theme for this year’s conference is The Many Faces of Depression. Our own Dr. Joel Holiner will be the keynote speaker for the event. He will talk about depression that is resistant to treatment and how to treat it.
The Family Matters Conference will be held at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children on Friday, Sept. 25. Along with Dr. Holiner, Richard C. Robinson, Ph.D., an Associate Professor in the Psychiatry department at UT Southwestern Medical School, will be discussing the differences between emotional and physical pain.
If you’re interested in attending, registration is $65 for individuals registering before Sept. 1. After Sept. 1, registration is $75. Groups of three or more pay only $50 per person and students pay $65. The registration fee includes conference admission, course materials, breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.
