Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, as well as board certified in Addiction Psychiatry, Dr. Joel Holiner has actively served as leader in the Dallas / Ft. Worth psychiatric community for over three decades. He is a graduate of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and was formerly on the clinical faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and has directed several of the largest psychiatric programs in the area. Dr. Holiner currently serves as Executive Medical Director of Green Oaks Hospital and Chief of Psychiatry at Medical City Dallas Hospital in addition to his role as Medical Director of The Holiner Psychiatric Group. In April of 2012 Dr. Holiner accepted the position to be on faculty and Texas A&M Health Science Center as a Clinical Assistant Professor in The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science. He is frequently consulted by the news media for information and insights into sensitive psychiatric issues and is regularly selected by his peers as one of the top psychiatrists in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area as published in D Magazine and Texas Monthly. Recently, Dr. Holiner was been named one of the Best Doctors in Dallas 2016 by D Magazine.
