Joel A. Holiner, M.D.

Board-Certified Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry
Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology, with added qualifications in addiction psychiatry, Dr. Joel Holiner has actively served as leader in the Dallas / Ft. Worth psychiatric community for over three decades. He is a graduate of The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and was formerly on the clinical faculty at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and has directed several of the largest psychiatric programs in the area. Dr. Holiner served as Executive Medical Director of Medical City Dallas Hospital and Chief of Psychiatry at Medical City Dallas Hospital in addition to his role as Medical Director of The Holiner Psychiatric Group.  In April of 2012 Dr. Holiner accepted the position to be on faculty and Texas A&M Health Science Center as a Clinical Assistant Professor in The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science. He is frequently consulted by the news media for information and insights into sensitive psychiatric issues and is regularly selected by his peers as one of the top psychiatrists in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area as published in D Magazine.
