Camille Holiner, Psychologist

Specialties: Eating Disorders Psychopharmacology, Interpersonal Issues, and Depressive / Anxiety disorders.

Born and raised in Big D, Dr. Holiner is elated to be back home after completing her doctoral program in South Florida. Camille received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans and completed her master’s degree, and PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the APA accredited program at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her Pre-Doctoral Internship at the nationally renowned Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders in Coconut Creek, Florida, and her Post-Doctoral Resident at Preston Hollow Health and Wellness in Dallas.

Dr. Holiner specializes in treating eating disorders, interpersonal issues, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.  She enjoys working with both adolescents and adults. During her time at The Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders, Dr. Holiner worked extensively with individuals suffering from various eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and related disorders of trauma, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal issues. Camille has extensive training with individuals struggling with anxiety-related disorders, including OCD and specific phobias. While in graduate school, she trained at The Anxiety Treatment Center, with her doctoral-directed study focusing on treating anxiety disorders and interventions. Additionally, Camille spent another year working with young adults at Barry University Counseling Center, specializing in anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, eating disorders, interpersonal problems, family-of-origin issues, trauma, and gender dysphoria. During her training at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, she treated children and adolescents presenting with disorders including mood, personality, anxiety and obsessive compulsive-related, psychotic, trauma, gender dysphoria, substance use, eating concerns, and behavioral difficulties.

Dr. Holiner approaches therapy in a comfortable and collaborative manner. She often incorporates humor in her sessions to help clients feel at ease and strengthen the therapeutic relationship. Camille utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches, including cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, dialectical behavioral, and emotion-focused therapies. She works with clients to improve their distress tolerance and implement helpful coping strategies. Camille helps her clients become more flexible thinkers, strengthening self-esteem, relationships, and communication skills. Dr. Holiner is passionate about helping her clients take back control of their lives. Her goal is to provide the confidence and tools to become their own therapist and the person they want to be. Camille acknowledges that asking for help is not always easy and wants her clients to know they can make significant life changes.

During her spare time, Dr. Holiner enjoys tennis, Pilates, travel, friends, family, and exploring new dining destinations.
